What Can Go Wrong, Will go Wrong.............At Least when It Involves the Government
Earlier this week, an intuitive sleuth detected some flaws in the OCS system that allowed private sales data and customer information to be accessed via a security hole. Is it any surprise that the government run system is hitting so many speed bumps? The government struggles to effectively plan, how could we expect smooth execution. Regardless, this data leak and security ineffectiveness is very worrisome especially considering the implications with individuals jobs, social stigmas surrounding cannabis use and potentially cause border issue when entering the United States.
Some Licensed Producers are Struggling to Fulfill Orders and Maintain Inventory for Medical Patients
With the recreational cannabis roll-out, some Licensed Producers have been struggling or unable to fill their medical patients orders. This is scary for many patients, as they need consistent and reliable supply and access to their medicine. I know these issues will work themselves out, but the industry needs to get its act together and understand that patients come first. One LP who is not pulling their weight can impact the whole industry and tarnish a fragile new ecosystem.
