Good Supply Golden Goat Review - The $15 bag Investigated (3.5g)

Good Supply Golden Goat Review - The $15 bag Investigated (3.5g)

With runaway inflation, the cost of everything is going up sky high……with the exception of cannabis that is.

Cannabis prices continue to fall, due to an array of contributing factors, but the real winner here is the consumer. Or is it?

That’s why I am here, to smoke this cannabis and provide my impressions on if this is a good buy. I am doing the Lord’s work.

Listed with a Manufactured Suggest Retail Price (MSRP) of $14.95 before HST (or $16.89 tax included) for 3.5 grams, this works out to $4.27/per gram. If you are lucky and search around, you might even be able to find this guy on sale and walk out of the store for $15 all-in.

When people walk into the cannabis shop seeking advice, I always set the expectation that you get what you pay for. There are hidden gems and some great value buys that will blow your socks off, but in general, at this price point you should expect smaller popcorn buds, shake and a product that would compete against pre-milled products.

Based on my customers, this product appeals to the bargain hunters and those that are more indifferent to the effects and just want to get high. In this circumstance, Golden Goat provides a nice strong heady high with a non-offensive fruity flavour providing a very inviting experience for beginners or those that want to get a good bang for this buck.

Lineage:

Golden Goat’s descends from a male cross-bred Hawaiian-Romulan and a female Island Sweet Skunk. Despite its parents’ origins, Golden Goat first blossomed in Topeka, Kansas after accidental pollination took place. This strain has a fruity and citrusy scent, and boosts vivid greens and hints of orange and pink.

Bag Appeal

When I pop the bag open, I am greeted with a fruity and citrusy scent, but it is definitely muted and not an overly strong odour. The buds are small and popcorn like, some are bigger and denser while most are fluffy and small.

You won’t be blown away from a visual grading perspective, but the buds properly hydrated and had a nice squish and grind to them. This is good cannabis to roll huge cannons or to mix into a delicious salad for max potency and effect. Again, there are no surprises here. It is basic budget bud at a basic budget price.

Fully Baked Thoughts

Overall, I would rate this as a #7, with a side of #4, see below.

Its a classic energizing high, that has a punch, but isn’t anything to write home about. Let’s see how competition develops in this category, but the sub $15 price point is a battlefield for the budget buyers.

Verdict: You get what you pay for, but smoking lots of mids ain’t so bad is it? As prices keep coming down, you just gotta smoke more.
