Get Blazed Pizza
Mission: Get blazed and eat pizza.
Location: Blaze Pizza, Toronto, ON (Yonge-Dundas)
Blaze Pizza is a California based restaurant chain operating in the fast casual category. Blaze Pizza was modeled after the Chipotle concept as a made to order approach to customer service. With NBA star Lebron James being an early investor, the chain has garnered early success and praise.
Since I am a diehard Toronto Raptors fan and self proclaimed Lebron hater, I am approaching this Blaze Pizza review with a bit of a chip on my shoulder. Fortunately, prior to evaluating Blaze Pizza, I participated in my standard ritual of consuming my medicine. As I stood in the middle of Yonge-Dundas Square and stared in amazement at all the flashing lights and buzz of activity, I sparked a cannon I had rolled of Sour Kush(hybrid) by Emblem. Waves of euphoria and happiness coursed through my veins, and I gazed upon Blaze Pizza.
The Setup:
The beauty of the Blaze Pizza experience is that you interact with your pizza maker. As a customer, I felt great being in “control” of the pizza making process and I felt accountable for the end product. My favorite part of the process is that you can get as much toppings as you want added to your pizza. You do have to have no shame and continually ask them to add more toppings, which they do but they make you ask for it. But ask and you shall receive.
As I sat down with my Heineken and pizza, it dawned on me that this isn’t so bad.
I proceeded to attack my pizza, which was pretty tasty and all of this was paired with a tasty beer. I followed this up with additional joints in Yonge-Dundas Square.
Conclusion:
Get Blazed Pizza...........would do again!
