Cruuzy Patio Season Review - The Perfect Outdoor Smoke
Patio Season is the perfect name for the vibe I’m feeling. Patios, outdoor dining and enjoying life is back!!!!
My hands were basically tied when I saw Cruuzy Patio Season on the menu at Value Buds (which I lovingly call the No Frills of cannabis). Naturally, I purchased it for immediate consumption. I continued my walk and cruised to my favourite spot Trinity Bellwoods Park. The tell tale sign of the Canadian park is plumes of smokes emanating from various groups sitting in the grass. I located an ideal smoke spot and dove in……
The creation of former Canopy employees, Galaxie Brands is their foray into commercializing cannabis under their LP and brands. Cruuzy is their Canadian recreational brand, and has initially launched with vape cartridges and dried flower products. Their flower drops are limited runs and it will be interesting to see how they develop this. I am personally a big fan of the limited edition and batch to batch model, so these guys have me intrigued.

The Cultivar
I had smoked and loved a Melon strain in the legacy days, and I had heard good things about this Melon Gum when it first dropped around Canada Day (July 1). Chasing that high, I got my hands on this Melon Gum strain and I was hoping to rediscover that Melon high that won me over and I’m still talking about.
The lovechild of Bubble Gum x Lavender, Melon Gum has those fruity and sweet notes with that bubble gum POP. With its narrow leaf marijuana lineage, it boasts both energizing and focus enhancing effects.
Bag Appeal
The buds were smaller, but dense and nicely covered with orange hairs. The melon strain did have a nice sweet smell, but it was not as dank as I remembered. I generally try to set 1.5% terpenes as the minimum threshold that I will consume. Nonetheless, with this product also being packaged in a bag, I would recommend that they look into investing into better packaging overall. Luckily, I plowed through this 3.5g hell quick, I barely needed to reseal the bag.
Labelling
Listing terpenes on the label is a nice touch and something I always appreciate. I want to see more of this!

Fully Baked Thoughts
Damn, I really do enjoy the Melon Gum high. It just makes me feel great and is the PERFECT outdoor daytime high. It’s as if the physical tension in my body is released and I am loose with a strong kick in the pants for energy and focus. Overall, I am enjoying the “Patio Season!” and I am going to smoke more to get a second opinion lol. I just chain-smoked joints of this beauty, and that is always a great and proud feeling lol.
