Haven St Blueberry Kush Pre-Roll Pack Review (5 Joints, 1.25g)

Haven St Blueberry Kush Pre-Roll Pack Review (5 Joints, 1.25g)

As I discussed in my last Pre-Roll Review, I am very interested in pre-roll products as I feel as though it is the best gateway form factor for new users.  It is not intimidating like buying a bunch of flower might be to a new user, in addition to being easy and convenient.

Before I head anywhere on a weekend or a day off, I will roll a bunch of joints to carry me through the day until I get home.  I will generally roll a bunch of 0.3g-0.4g joints, as this size joint will get me feeling good and at a practical/affordable cost effectiveness.  Don’t get it twisted and please know that I also love smoking fatties all day, but in true practicality I generally only smoke those in the evenings or when I know I’m meeting ups with friends or have a special event I need to attend.

I ordered these 0.25 gram joints(via the OCS) to see how this product stacks up for a day in which I need to run a bunch of errands.  I had high expectations as this product cost a WHOPPING $31.35 for 1.25g of cannabis.

The Strain Explained:

Blueberry Kush is a strong indica strain that slowly brings on a heavy body sensation, helping patients forget their pain and relax. This strain is a hybrid of Blueberry and OG Kush, which is clear in its fresh berry aroma with notes of earthy herbalness. This indica is great for insomnia and when used as a sleep aid.

First Impressions:

At first glance, I was not a fan of the white square plastic container. It just lacked style and personality, but I thought it might be an improvement over the boxes and plastic blister packed pre-rolls I have received in the past(Aurora, Cove).

This product was recently packaged(On October 23), so I was expecting a fruity blast when I opened the package. I was greatly disappointed to see the pre-rolls rolling around and not secured in anyway. There was a bunch of ground weed in the package that I guess has become loose and dislodged from the joints during transportation. I was appalled that a LP would deliver this to a customer and think that this is an acceptable consumer packaged good. With this product priced at $25/g, this is highway robbery and paints this brand in a very negative light.

The joints are not even close to being a uniform size or shape. The Futurola filters also reeks of a rush job and botched product design. The container smelt plasticy rather than fruity or blueberryish.

You need to be very careful when lighting these as they are very small and you want to light it evenly to ensure that you don’t waste any weed. There is a small margin of error with joints this small. I was able to light most with ease, with the exception of one that was totally butchered. Once lit, some burnt evenly, while others kept trying to canoe, as I fought to keep things on track.

My Take:

Smoking joints shouldn’t be this difficult. A good pre-roll product should come in a convenient form factor, be easy to smoke and get you high. This product failed to deliver on all of the aforementioned criteria.

Rating: Awful

  • Expensive!

  • Sub-par Packaging and Product Feel

  • Stay Away

  • The search for a good pre-roll product continues
