Station House - Northern Lights 3.5g Review - Classic Cultivar Series
This is the first in a series of reviews of some of our favourite strains over the years and what we would consider some of the Classics. We are basing this off the strain name as identified and marketed by the Licensed Producer(LP).
We kick things off with Northern Lights.
As a Canadian, Northern Lights (NL) was always whispered about as being a HEAVY hitter, known for being CAKED in trichomes and showing off vivid colours, most notably vivid green hued buds. Also an all-timer in the hash making community, NL has a well earned and storied history, owning the Hallmark Indica profile, Northern Lights belongs in the strain Hall of Fame.
Station House is bringing us this offering at a good middle tier price point. Let’s dive deeper and see how this offering looks close-up!

Bag Appeal
It was a nice 3-piece of decent medium/larger sized buds. While the green colours in the bud were muted, it was nicely covered with a layer of visible trichomes.
The scent seemed fitting and classic, possessing piney and spicy notes. Those smells did warp me back to another era and age.
Overall, it looked fine, but definitely didn’t possess that WOW factor. As a Classic, we know her strengths and she holds her own and lives up to her stature.
Half Baked Thoughts
It was a sleepy Tuesday afternoon, so essentially the best time to crush this 3.5 g and do some serious pontificating. I rolled this 3.5g into 3 evenly sized joints. After I smoked the first one, I was definitely in the mood to chill out and crush some episodes in a TV marathon. The high came on strong and then just kept it mellow and held strong until it tailed off. The accompanying body buzz was a nice treat.
Verdict, will smoke again.
