Platinum Cannabis Gummies Review (Blue Raz & Strawberry) - Ontario Cannabis Store
Gummies are one of my favourite categories and types of products., They bring me back to my childhood, but now they are even more fun due to the cannabis infusion. I remember roaming the candy aisle, or perusing the 5 cent gummies at convenience store. My personal fave was always the coke flavoured gummies that had just the right taste and just the right chewiness (drooling….)
These Platinum gummys were being promoted at the store I visited. Naturally, I had to purchase these and test them out. I had never tried the Platinum Vape brand before, so I was curious to see what they are about and what makes them different. Their product assortment consists of disposable vapes, 510 cartridges and these edibles(gummies). Also operating in a number of US states and regulated markets, Platinum Vape is true to their name and specializes in vapes. Do they have the secret sauce when it comes to GUMMIES?
My move is generally to buy 4 packages (4 x 10mg per pack = 40mg total) of edibles and pop them all into my mouth at once. This is pretty satisfying feeling when it is gel caps or gummys, but please be safe as I don’t want this to spurn a TikTok challenge that results in stoner deaths LOL. I f I’m doing gel caps I will do a huge whopping handful sometimes and pretend I’m Alice about to go down a rabbit hole.
The gummy category has quite a few players, and is pretty price sensitive due to the number of SKUs and customers being conscious of “getting their bang for their buck” which is mentally calculating $/thc content. I personally dummies should always be taste first, texture second and overall experience third. Time to pop some #GUMMIES……

Inspired by their German candy making heritage, Platinum has marketed these as “hybrid” for the Strawberry and “indica” for the Blue Ray. Produced by Emblem Cannabis Corp (Licensed Producer) in Port Perry, these gummies are made with CO2 derived distillate.

Ingredients
Sugars (corn syrup, beet sugar, cane sugar), Water, Gelatin, Citric acid, Pectin, Canola oil and/or coconut oil, Modified coconut oil (medium chain triglycerides), Carnauba leaf wax, Allura red, Artificial flavour.
Half Baked Observations
The candies have a nice sugar sprinkle on top, a texture I am always fond of. They feel pretty solid and have a hard shell, but once you bite into it you will feel a nice squish and chewiness. The Blue Razz was definitely a lot chewier than the Strawberry. The Strawberry had the perfect chew factor, while the Blue Raz is a bit tough on the jaw when you are crushing multiple packs. Overall, it had a good mouth feel. The taste was decent. Not my favourite gummy, but it was good/solid overall. Disclosure, I am somewhat biased towards single strain solventless or Live Resin infused gummies (#snob lol). But I do appreciate all gummies, in their full glory and for who they are.
Half Baked Thoughts
It was a warm Saturday morning and I was headed to the Pet Store. I figured I could use an extra pep in my step, so now was the perfect time to pop some gummies. It is always fun to play with animals or babies when you are really lifted. You can communicate with them on another frequency and really enjoy the moment engaging with them as you play.
